Avs CAN do it, but would cost lots.
Young right shot D will replace Johnson.

if you sign for 12.5m you are already giving up four 1st round picks, go for the extra 2 years and get 7 years

I'd be really hesitant to give Bura that long of a deal at that AAV. He hasn't done anything to warrant a raise, let alone a long term contract at that AAV.

Marner doesn't want 7 or 8 years.

Burakovsky is a risk, but suspect Avs are a little drunk, on success of 1st line.
Also suspect Bura will be solid.

Interesting that you want to pay the equally good and valued Rantanen and Marner at a 4m difference. I'm 90% sure Ottawa could spend 6m better than Johnson and wouldn't be given up any assets. Am 100% sure Johnson doesn't waive for Ottawa.

Why would we trade for Goloubef, we let him walk 3 seasons ago because he is an ahl d man and a terrible skater. I understand it's a cap dump but why even take a player back if he's terrible

Burakovsky has a QO at $ 3.25M and he will most likely sign it since he elect to not going to arbitration. But they can still negotiate... The contract that Danton Heinen just signed at BOS is a good comparable for Burakovsky and it does for Compher too. 2 years/$5,6M $2,8 AAV
