If the Habs tank this coming season, I could very realistically see Price demanding a trade. While Marc Bergevin is clearly not a man of his word, he was told when he signed his new deal the Habs would be competitive through out the length of his behemoth contract. Ditto for Shea Weber. To tank simply to try to win the lottery to try and draft a French-Canadian in Alexis Lafrenière is not the answer, because if it is was, the Habs future couldn't rest on the shoulders of an 18 year making a Sidney Crosby-like impact in year 1. Your Muzzin UFA deal seems like the kind of thing your GM would do. Even still, I doubt Domi resigns for anything less than Aho if he maintains his point production from last season.

Lafrenière is the best potential draftee since McDavid imo. He will become a top 5 player in the league if he lives up to the hype (very justified hype may I add).
