I kinda like that VGK trade. It benefits both teams. Good work.

Think Cal apologizes first day? Lol

And I want to say I like it but damn. That's a lot. Almost better to hit an OS and give up the unknown picks there, no?

I had expected this to be laughable but those are actually two pretty fair trades.

Yeah, they have around $4m in space but a roster size of 29, so I’d say maybe they have more like $8m. I bet they find a way to match an offer sheet at $9m and maybe even $10.5m

I meant 4 1st's - compared to the package you gave up it's probably "more" just because we know what we have there

Edit: And not necessarily Boeser. Any RFA

Would you say Boeser is an RFA worthy of a 4 1st sheet? I think that title falls only to Marner, Point and Rantanen, maybe Aho before he signed. But yes, this is a lot - probably the value of 3.5 firsts I’d say. Even though I’m game for an offer sheet I’ll never get over how much four firsts sounds like

I'm not sure Boeser is, probably the only way you'd get him though via OS route. I think even though Wilde was a 2nd round pick he and Wahlstrom have a ton of promise where ideally I'd like to hold onto them. With the 4 1st's we have no idea where they'll end up, but it's clearly more of a crapshoot than giving up known pieces

Still don't hate the trade. It's close and would probably get done. But personally I'd just hit them with the same contract via OS and pay the 4 firsts instead to acquire Boeser

Boeser and McCvoy are the two guys in the league that cannot be offer sheeted so this is the only way to go. As a Canucks Fan I love Brock but my got that is an absolute Haul for him and would have a hard time saying no expecially because a RHD is expendable now, we replace out 1st lost in the Miller deal which could be a lottery pick. Beauvillier is a good player and I absolutely love Wahlstrom and he will replace Brock.
