Edmonton doesn't really have any cap space for that move (assuming Buchnevich gets somewhere above 3.5 million, which he will.). Either way Edmonton probably turns that down

I don't think that would get you Nuge if only because the Oilers couldn't move him. If they move him Draisaitl has to become a 2C and now McDavid needs a winger and they have no depth.

I doubt Edmonton would accept it either, just thought it was interesting.

In this case I think Vlad would take Mcdavid's wing (he proved to play pretty well with elite talent in Tampa) and Buch could take a spot on Leon's wing on the second line, but who knows

I don't know how it works, but I don't know if you're able to trade that 2nd since it will most likely be sent to Carolina once Fox hits 30 games next season.
