My only concern is the term. 2 years makes him a UFA, while 1 would have made him a RFA again. Seems like they should have signed him to a one year deal or locked him up long term.

Kings signed him as free agent in first place right out of college... Like college players should be not drafted 5th overall only for them to likely walk away for nothing wink. This will let them see if he is worth keeping while team is going nowhere fast anyways... He tired out his first season being used to the college amt of games... Then his second season he played more games but had a real bad - rating compared to his rookie season when they got swept by Knights in 1st round smile.

He is my 3rd favorite player out of those left on the team... Since they moved Pearson, even Leipsig is gone, so Carter, Toffoli, Iaffalo whose name I tend to butcher being dyslexic might all be gone in 2-3 years smile. Its about Forbort money without crossing into Reaves kinda green so not a total bust smile.

Umm . . . he spends most of his time on LA's first line with Kopitar and Brown.

Blake won't have any trouble persuading Iafallo to re-up once we draft Lafreniere to center him.
