I personally think a Marner offer sheet is insane and very risky, but with a very high upside. This question is for isles fans angry with Lou for not offer sheeting yet. Do you actually believe that Lou would actually give another team 4 FIRST ROUND picks for one player? He can’t bank on the fact they won’t be lottery picks, also Toronto could trade them. Marner is a great player, and will help out the offense, but it would be insane and very unlikely it would ever happen. For Toronto fans, do you want an offer sheet? Or would you rather keep Marner?

If it's 4 first rounders then I'd take that all day.

I don't think you can go as far as saying Lou can bank they wont be lottery picks. Varly isn't going to put up the number Lehner did on a team that overachieved and relied on their goalie. Your division has gotten way more competitive than it was last season.

The only reason Lehner was good was because of the system. Greiss up identical numbers, and the year before, he had a sub .900 save percentage. Lehner numbers will drop in Chicago. He is a good goalie, but those stats are inflated because of the system. If trotz and company aren’t there, the isles probably get jack Hughes.
