Whoa that's a big ask

Rakell is more like Petry or Tatar , Ylonen or Juulsen and a 1st
he's good , young a two time 20 goal scorer but he's a guy who's gonna land you a Star with 1-2 years before UFA , an A level prospect and a 1st

i'm using mtl because its what i know but the breakdown is the same for any team trading for Rakell
no teams trading a star with 82 minutes averaging 20 minutes on ice more then some forwards .
he's a badass , Rakell's a guy like Gallagher , works hard every shift , shows up and battles and is rewarded for it . (not saying he plays the same exactly but consistent and reliable is my point)

No more or less stupid than the Rakell for Ristolainen trades I've been seeing on here.

I think the OP agrees, hence the 1st attached to Rakell. But yeah, BUF doesn’t touch this.

Everyone fell of this year because of RC. Rakell has a history of scoring 20+ goals, he also has recent back-to-back 30 goal seasons.

Eichel is better than Rakell, no doubt it. Just think you’re unnecessarily dogging Rakell. He’s a legit 1st line winger, but Eichel is legit 1C. Eichel is worth quite a bit more, but I don’t think it is far off. Maybe add Zegras or Steel as a replacement and it’s fair.

Yeah, except Rakell is a 2 x 30 goalscorer. You could say the rest about anyone. Elite level players, especially centres, never get moved. So you are more likely to see a 1st line winger get moved for a package. However, if an elite C was to be moved, Rakell would absolutely be an excellent part of a package deal.

I mean, Rakell + Zegras + 1st... that’s a strong offer for Eichel.

Best laugh I ever had on this site. laugh
While I would not trade Eichel for Rakell, TBH this trade is actually closer to reality than any of the Ristolainen for Rakell one for one trades I have seen on this site.
It is very unlikely that Anaheim would trade for Ristolainen after they just sent Montour to Buffalo.
I love it when humor is used to make a point, thanks for the good laugh.

Probably because Rakell + 1st for Eichel is quite reasonable. Like I said, only needs 1 extra piece (Steel or Zegras) to make it a solid offer. Meanwhile, where do you start with Risto for Lindholm? Maybe add Eichel and remove Risto? Even Rakell for Risto is an absolute non-starter for me. At least Rakell and Eichel are on the same line the depth chart, meanwhile it could be argued that Risto should be on the 3rd pairing with ample PP time. Mind-boggling how people think that is a reasonable ask, especially when Risto is the one being shopped!

I could see GMBM enquiring on Risto. Doubt he’d meet the price though. Deals around Henrique and Kase make some sense, but no need to give up too many young assets for a player like Risto. Plenty of young skaters out there to be had in the draft that have the potential to put up big numbers in the NHL, but with limited defensive upside. It’s getting the kids that can do it all that are the hardest to find and worth shelling out the assets for.

Sure, just remove Eichel and add Risto...
Unless of course you would add Comtois, steel, kase, and lindholm with Rakell for Eichel

Lol imaging going to a post a couple weeks old, not reading any of the thread and then taking it seriously, and over valuing a player this much...
