What the damn hell is that oilers trade? You want them to give up the younger, cheaper and downright better player at this point in their careers for another Lucic level contract AND give you a 5th round pick too? Stay off the meth man my god in heaven that’s flawed logic.

FA signings dont seem too far off but the trades significantly favor CBJ.

Heavily Favors Columbus
1. Philly will not be trading Lyon and if they do it will not be for a 5th round pick. I assume their fans are still sour about how trading Bob ultimately fared.
2. Edmonton bringing in Dubinsky and his contract makes no sense...especially when they are sending out a younger cheaper contract. Point production is fairly similar but lopsided trade still.

Favors Trade Partner
3. Pysyk for Harrington...CBJ just signed Harrington to 3yr deal that is cheaper AAV than Pysyk, giving them cost certainty and "control" of the player for longer than they would have with Pysyk. Similar point production and stats, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
4. Kukan is a good player, not worldly but worth more than a 6th rounder especially considering his age and contract and that the Jackets dont need to trade him.
