My Opening Day Lineup

Created by: KennyBoi

Description
Let's just say sweeney doesnt make any more trades or signings for players. Let's also say that miller gets traded for cap room to sign carlo and macvoy (which imo is very likely to happen). Then these are all possible lineup combos for the season:

marchy-bergy-pasta
debrusk-krech-steen/coyle/kuhlman/bjork/cehlarik
heino-coyle/stud-ritchie/coyle/kuhlman/bjork/cehlarik
nordy-kuraly-wags/ritchie/kuhlman

This is what I think cassidy should tryout first. We all know what the 1st line can do, 2nd line is more of a skill line, 3rd line is a big body line that has the ability to make plays, and the 4th line is the energy line

Read the explanation he's clearly talking about lines, they have 10-11M to sign both

Yeah I agree with all of this, I think we see a rotation at either 2RW or 3LW (Heinen at 1RW) of Steen/Bjork/Kulhman/Studnicka/Cehlarik to see if any of them stick. If not, they'll bite the bullet to either move Backes or give up additional assets to have a team retain salary on a UFA winger (e.g., Kreider, Toffoli). Same as 3C last year.

I can't see Steen playing over Kuhlman unless he really blows them away at TC imo. I understand why the Bruins can't move Backes' contract but I actually wonder if they've had talks about it with teams. I love Chara too and think hes still capable of playing D in the NHL but what happens when either Lauzon or Vaak look better than him at TC? Because I think thats a possibility, obviously Chara's intangibles are better but the on ice product very well could not be. I think if Kuhlman gets sat were gonna see DeBrusk/Krejci/Coyle, Heinen/Kuraly/Ritchie, Nordy/Lindholm/Wagner as the lines.

I think Kulhman starts the year at 2RW but Steen gets the first (most likely injury) call up. Yeah they need to be creative with Chara's minutes this year, especially in the first half where they'll have more cap room (Moore LTIR). Maybe Chara doesn't play back to backs?

I think they need to break up the first line. If they're down by a goal in the third period, sure. Enough is enough though.

Yeah that could work but id only like that if they were alternating calling up Lauzon/Vaak for those back to backs. But what happens when those two play better than Chara in the nights they're given to play? Do you sit chara? Because the way Bruce coaches it seems he'll play whatever is best for the team.
