Sorry but Columbus would decline. It doesn’t really work for them to take that much cap right now.

You can only really say he has one of the best contracts in the league if he proves he can produce without McDavid which he just hasn't been able to do. Of course it would help if the Oilers had more than 4 NHL calibre forwards on their team but still. He is a great wingman for McDavid but McDavid can make a lot of players look like elite superstars.

Well why do so many players have problems putting the puck in the net when with McDavid?

I agree with @LoganOllivier I think his trade value is as high as it can get right now and McDavid is going to make everyone look way better then they are

Same thing happened with crosby his whole career, these guys just think the game differently, good or bad some players can't adapt to their way of play.

Because the Oilers have been putting guys that aren't NHL players on his wing and hoping he can make something happen. Half the Oilers forward ranks wouldn't make any good team in the NHL. That is why Edmonton struggles, they have McDavid scoring at a super elite rate and then a 2nd line that barely keeps its head above water and the rest is boarder line NHLers.

I don't think that's the case with McDavid, they have only ever given him 2 or 3 wingers who were legit top line NHL players and tried to make scrubs like Rattie work with him. Crosby is a different story all together.

Still Draisaitl is at least an elite winger playing with McDavid and paid accordingly from that aspect. He definitely isn't at all part of the problem in Edmonton. Its the utter black hole of depth the team has that is the problem.

This **** is so dumb it actually causes me physical pain.... Teams do not get better by trading 23 year old 100pt scorers
