I had him at $2.1M AAV for 2 years, so slightly more than expected. Still good though. Either way, if he finds offensive consistency it's a bargain, for now.

he can most likely be a 20 goals scorer in the NHL..if he stays healthy.

I said to myself that everything under 2.5 AAV is fine. Artturi needs to find one thing: offensive consistency. He has the tools to be a 20 goal scorer he has to use those tools and than this contracts would look more than fine.

Armia 26 got 2.6 Lehkonen 24 got 2.4. Both finnish player who can play a great 200ft game way much more than pleky. I guess we can say that with Lehkonen Kotkaniemi Armia
Byron Thompson Weal, our bottom 6 is filled. The question mark is who gonna play wuth Domi and Drouin since Tatar Danault Gallagher is set to be untouchable ... Is Cousins, Caufield Suzuki or Poehling are gonna step up or are we 1 top 6 from a good team? Just hope to trade Thompson and target Dickinson who just signed for 2 yr in Dallas, the big body left centerman could really spark with Byron and Weal!

Overall i'd say that both signature from MB are correct and help the team for the next era. Now let's see if thay can produce.

Not sure what you mean by this. Do you mean instead? Montreal would have no interest in a Pylon like Jack Johnson

Scoring wise yes, which would be a big problem if he were a one dimensional player; which he is not.

He's regressed in each of his last 2 seasons in goals and it's not a very good sign for MTL that he's only 24 and his best season statistically by far was 2016-17. If he can somehow return to 15-18 goals it'll be a success. Is he solid defensively?

It's very difficult to judge GM's like Rutherford for their bad moves after they've build multiple championship teams. These guys always get a pass, at least for a few years . Chiarelli was dining out for years on the BOS Cup in 2011, despite a myriad of terrible trades and UFA signings. Even Bowman has made a number of questionable decisions over the last 3 years. As far as Jack Johnson goes, I don't think MTL would want him on their roster at a cap hit of $0.00

It was reported that the Canadians contacted the pens and offered lehkenon for Johnson. Pens wanted Domi instead. So no deal happened.

Give me just one example of when a person named Brian knew anything about anything.

Well, we are all made up of solids, liquids, and gases. So in some ways he is in fact solid.

What about his ability to reason? That is what sets us apart from the apes. Why do you want to take that away from him?

Lehkonen is great defensively. Offensively, he was probably about as unlucky as you can be last year. He hit so many posts, and had near misses many times. He is a defensive player, but I’d expect him to have a bounce back season offensively next year.

I would have liked to see MB push to try and get a bit of a steal on a 3-4 year deal. This seems a good AAV, but Lehkohnen is solid at both ends, and if he's basically a good 200ft 3rd line player putting up 35 points, anything under $3M is going to be reasonable even if he never takes a step forward, so I would have liked to see a bet on him maybe producing a little more as the team improves around him, just try and buy the years until he 28 now for something like $2.8M or so. I mean even if he doesn't improve he likely keeps getting raises on that $2.4M contract now anyway.
