Since his first year in AHL Lindgren has been awful basically no value atm, and EDM has no need for Reilly as Jones and Lagesson can fill 3rd pairing LD. Something with Juulsen would interest me more as RD depth chart is weaker then LD atm

I was just doing research on Puljujarvi. He is only 21, something must have happened for his production to basically die like that.

edm has that effect on a lot of 1st round players they've drafted .
they changed their system and its getting better now but for a long time
they just cycled through management and coaches while never really filling their biggest hole in the Net.

if they can land Hawkey before he goes UFA Aug 15 he could possibly become the guy for EDM as he's
been very consistent in the NCAA with great numbers but now its time to see how he does in the AHL.
Koskinen is good short term but Hawkey can help long term.

There's a prospect with "Hawkey" for a last name? They absolutely need to sign him.

juulsen for PJ could work .
it would give us room for Brook
but we'd need an insurance 2nd pick conditional on PJ playing 40 NHL games this season.(if he does EDM keeps the pick similar to TBL deal for Sergachev)

Puljujarvi is coming off Double hip surgery at 21 so the insurance picks important if we're giving up a Juulsen

yeah we traded his rights to EDM when Primeau emerged .
Hayden Hawkey's a solid goalie with real potential if developed correctly and not rushed.
(same thing goes for MTL and Primeau )

I really don't think the hip surgery was as serious as some people think, he was rehabbing just few days after. Pretty sure they did minor tweak to repair defect that was causing him pain similar to Gaborik when he played for Minny. Gaborik's production didn't drop til quite a few year (6-7) after that surgery

given MTL just moved Shaw and are down a 2nd/3rd RW he's likely to meet conditions

I doubt they are able to sign Hawkey, but we do have 4 solid G prospect between ages 19-24. Rodrigue, Skinner, Konovalov and Starrett

The year after the lockout season is what really put the Oilers in the downward spiral. EDM finished the year in like 10th in the WEST during the 48 game season Hall, Yakupov, Eberle, Gagner, RNH, and Schultz all young players that had pretty good year. Team ranked 19th in GF and GA with lots of youth and actually pretty subpar D and veterans but the GM decided to fire Krueger and hire Eakins who tried to change everything about the Oilers from what the team could eat to his "swarm" defence style. Oilers went from 19th in both categories to basically last in both for next two years. Eakins was fired and Chiarelli was then hired to replace MacTavish as GM.

TDLR MacTavish fired coach Krueger via skype messaged and hired Eakins who destroyed the Oilers. Which in turn lead to the Oilers hiring Chiarelli to replace MacTavish.. and then Chiarelli decided to MacT and Eakins hadn't done enough damage so started his reign of terror. This is why the Oilers have sucked for 10+ years
