-Cap goes up another $2M
-Vrana signs this summer around $3.3M
-Backstrom signs around $8.5M

Caps will have nearly $8M in space without needing any major pieces. That's pretty darn good. They should keep banking that space for the next handfull of years while also shedding some contracts to make room for the young talent we have.

In like 4 years, with the cap going up and younger, cheaper, better kids coming in, they'll have a crap load of space to make a splash to keep the window open.
