Isles have yet to make an improvement so things could be worse. Nino, Dzingel and Haula are quality adds. Not to mention Necas probably making the jump. Hope Lou has something up his sleeve. Running out of options

They definitely should and might need to! Why not throw Mitch Marner or Patrick Laine to the Metro as well..

Just in the past 12 months the metro has already added Jacob Trouba, Kappo Kakko, PK Subban, Jack Hughes, Artemi Panarin, Erik Haula, Nino Niederieter, and Ryan Dzingel. Not even to mention the young emerging stars entering the division

I'd argue it's actually gotten easier.
Washington hasn't done anything, Pittsburgh got worse, Columbus will be terrible, who knows wtf Philly is trying to do but I'd say they got worse, rangers got better but they're still a year or 2 away from competing, Carolina and new jersey are the only teams that got a lot better. Islanders haven't really done anything except for lose their vezina finalist goalie. Think the metro is wide open

As I said, running out of options. We can still improve elsewhere: 1) Leddy for Tatar, 2) Gusev, 3) Boyle. But all 3 need to be done. Don't this OS is out of the realm of possibility yet

As a Flyers fan I disagree with you and think they've improved this offseason just by addressing the need for another center. Yeah Hayes might be overpaid but its not like he's bad. The biggest risk is Niskanen since Braun is most likely going to play sheltered minutes.

I wasn't even thinking about the Hayes signing. Yea he's way overpaid. He would be a great 3rd line center making maybe 5 mil a year. I hate both their defense trades. Gudas is younger cheaper and arguably better than niskanen and they still had to retain salary on gudas. Braun just sucks. And Philly is just making a logjam for their younger guys. Philly was one of my favorite teams for the past couple seasons but after those moves I don't think they got better.

Honestly all the young Dmen are going to be in the league this year. Myers and Morin are the last of the thought of D prospects to join the team Myers will be on the 3rd pair and Morin will most likely be a scratch but that would change. Gudas had a great year last year but he can not move the puck whatsoever it by far his biggest flaw and that's something Niskanen excels at. Retaining salary on that trade was a bad move.

They're gonna be a better team this year just by having a full season of Hart. They'll probably fight for a wild card spot
