I’d rather Ehlers. Less term but the 6 mil cap hit helps us when signing Dahlin, Samson to big deals. Who knows what we pay McCabe and E-Rod. As well who knows how some of the other guys coming off ELC do such as Pilut, Oloffson, Jokiharju, Casey. And I’m not too sure what Montour will get, also depends on his season. So for me Ehlers helps with signing and keeping the core of guys together

ehlers, connor, laine, zucker, hoffman, huberdeau dont matter to me just trade risto for a top 6 forward and this offseason gets an A+ grade from me....package him with whatever it takes to get a deal done

i would put in Okposo for lazar and cj smith in for asplund though

I understand that perspective, just think if they could pull off a connor deal they will make it work

take asplund out and cj in and its a deal for me. And as for the lineup, i was between cj and asplund for that final lw spot, and on rw honeslty with his contract okposo will have to be there

ya i mean okposo obviously is massively overpaid but you could do worse having him in the bottom 6...i think on the right line he could still score 15-20 goals if he stays healthy...also gives the team some leadership qualities so i think for sure hes in the lineup on opening night
