That Ottawa/jets deal stinks!!
I don't really get why the jets would give up Poolman in a deal to get out from under Kulikov's contract and take back someone who's probably never gonna play again.
Im starting to see a lot of deals that have Poolman tossed in as incentive to get out of contracts. As a jets fan I love Poolman and see him stepping up in a big way this year. The jets brass seem to like him a lot too. plus he make just over the min for the next 2 years

Did Poolman get called up last year? I feel like he's been passed up and will get passed up by other players at this point. I used to like him, but have lost faith that he'll "be the guy". I'm not sure why you think the Jets "brass" seem to like him, he's played 24 games in the NHL and it was all in 17-18. Giving up Poolman to get rid of Kulikov's contract is a big fat "nothingburger" in my opinion.

he got injured last year. Im sure he wouldve been called up if he didnt get hurt. He had a decent season in the NHL, but nothing will jump out at you looking at stats. he's a strong skating defensive minded dman with a sneaky good shot. He's calm with the puck and seems to see the ice well.
Im not saying hes gonna be a top pairing guy, but he can def log minutes at the NHL level. Throwing him away in a Kulikov deal would be dumb IMO. The jets are hurting on D and they might actually need Kulikov (scary thought), but he's a decent dman, his contract makes him seem a lot worse

Eh, I guess I'm not really worried about losing him. In the past 2 years he's played a combined 84 games at all levels....mostly because if injury. Will he ever play a full season in the pro's? At the end of the day he is a 26 year old with a grand total of 24 games in the NHL and injury history....I'm not going to lose sleep over him being traded if it happens.
