Tuch is the better player.... plus Vegas can't afford to take on Risto's salary plus replace all the players in that trade.... Doesn't make sense from a Vegas perspective.

Why don't you take Glass and Hague while you're at it!

Tuch > Risto

They each get about .5 points/game, career. Tuch gets one hit per game. Ristolainen gets just over two. Tuch doesn't get lit up as much on defense, but last year was his first year averaging sixteen minutes a night. Ristolainen has averaged over 25 minutes a night for the last four years, on a rebuilding team. He's going to make some mistakes.

More importantly, with all of Vegas' center prospects, they're unlikely to re-sign Eakin after this year, so trading him in a way that makes a long term impact and opens up cap space to sign Gusev could really interest McPhee.

Burakovsky got a 2nd, 3rd, D prospect, and much needed cap space. He also led the Caps in corsifor% during the 2019 playoffs, if that's saying anything. How were Drouin's playoff numbers, this Spring?

No. I think he's one of the worst defensive defenseman in any hockey from learn to skate to the super seniors, 75 and older, possibly ever.

I think the original poster must be thinking of trading for Rasmus Dahlin instead of Rasmus Ristolainen.. Hence, wrong Rasmus....

Assuming Burakovsky doesn't nail down a spot on Rantanen's line this year, I'm going to try to look smart by pretending to agree with you, now that Drouin finally has more career goals than Bura. smile
