That seems like a really big return for a guy whose contract may prove to be problematic in the not so distant future. I also think he's too critical to MTL's blueline to move.

If Weber get injured and cant play anymore, Weber's contract is going to Nashville. So they will be ****ed. That was part of the deal.

Mtl right side : Petry ( can be top1 dman, he did it in 2017-2018 and the first 2 months of last season ), Juulsen Brook Folin Fleury.

Weber will play to 40 yo, didn’t slow down at all. Getting a top RHD for 2-3 years, giving Makar lesser minutes

Why would they want to give makar less minutes, Weber may play until hes 40 but hes not worth what they are giving up, plus 7 mill to fill a need they don't have

Tyson jost and newhook cost controlled and healthy more then shea Weber unhealthy for 6 more years at almost 8 million of salary... no question.
