It should be 5-6 Million for 2-3 Seasons, but with how overhyped he is he feels he is worth around 7-8 Million for 2-3 Seasons. Which is unreasonable cost on price of years.

This is the NHL not the NBA. The new US t.v. deal won't come close to that but it will still be an increase on the current deal. I doubt the cap rises like many think.

Marners camp is probably accounting for inflation this current deal. In 5 years he wont be worth 8-9M anymore.

I wouldn't even say that. His production is inflated due to the fact John Tavares was helping him out, so either way. I still wouldn't even pay that much for him. His Contract would be worth more than 11% of the teams Cap Space. He might be worth around 7-9% of the Salary Cap 9% of the Salary cap would mean 7,290,000 would be his contract. Which is more than Fair, but to say he is worth more than 10% of the Salary Cap is ridiculous.
