PIT and Philly are not going to make a trade, especially one that big, and even if it wasn't Philly, Bjugstad and moving up a round is no where near enough for ghost

Philly and Pittsburgh made a huge trade of Recchi, Coffey for Tocchet and Samuelson. I like the idea of trading for Ghost. I don't think the Flyers would want that package. You might have to add Hornqvist. It looks like the money works without the Edmonton and Montreal trades. You are onto a very exciting trade scenario getting Gusev and Ghost. I like it.

I don't think Gost or similar D is a fit now. I think this team needs a good defensive D. Having Letang, Schultz as offensive D's is enough and they used Pettersson in that role too.

They definitely need a scorer with the right hand shot. Gusev would be an excellent case, if we can shed the cap. Or maybe Puljujarvi?

It was Tocchet, Kjell Samuelsson and Ken Wregget to Penguins for Brian Benning, Recchi and round 1 pick (Jason Bowen). So that trade you're talking about actually dished up the Stanley Cup for the Pens the same year afaik. Perhaps that's why we're not trading with them since that?
