Lineup as I see it

Created by: ChiHawk
Team: 2019-20 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 14, 2019
Published: Jul. 14, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Unless Nylander or Sikura proves they can play in the show, Caggs will be the top line LW. If Sikura or Nylander can hold up in the top line, then Caggs is a 4th line player.

Shaw is a lock on the 2nd line and a perfect compliment to Strome and Cat.

Saad is on the 3rd line with Kublik and Kampf.

4th line will be Capenter in the middle with a rotation on the wings of Wedin, Caggs (if Sikura or Nylander play top line), Quenneville, Saarela, Entwistle. They will at least find one of those guys by January that will stick.

Anisimov gets moved and will come at the expense of Perlini I'm afraid.

These front lines look pretty decent. Obviously the roster will carry 23 so 2 of those guys I'm showing as scratches will be in the AHL.

On D, Dahlstrom will play 7th man and Koekko in the 3rd LHD while De Haan is out. Seabs will pair with De Haan as Maatta is too slow for Seabs. Gus will either get Keith or Maatta and Muprhy either Keith or Maatta.

Dach, IMO, will not play more then 9 games this year...rushing him would be bad. Let's see how he plays with the London Knights or Icehogs.

Nylander is not going to get any better as a healthy scratch. Put him with Strome + DeBrincat and watch him go off.

He'll likely start in Rockford, then get a call up if he proves he deserves it. Hasn't showed us that he can be a top 6 forward yet.

I like this lineup given that an Anisimov trade is the final move Stan makes this summer, but I hope that he (at the very least) finds a 3C replacement. I really don't like the idea of an offensive blackhole such as Kampf playing in that spot. There should be some options still available.

Also, one minor thing is that Dach would play for the Saskatoon Blades, not London Knights.

Y’all need to listen to what Bowman says. Stan gushed over Nylander at his conference call. He just traded our most ready NHL defenseman for Nylander who he definitely envisions as a top 6 W on this team (which doesn’t say much). He clearly views him as a guy who needs a change of scenery (i.e. Strome situation) and will be up with the big club as well as given every chance to succeed. Bowman can’t afford to put him in Rockford after what he traded to get him. It’s as simple as that. Will he stick? Who knows. But there is zero
chance he is down in Rockford or scratched to start the season.

Also, Kampf is not a 3C and I think that position will be addressed after AA is moved (if he is moved).

Ottawa wants nothing to do with this.

Ottawa isn't a real hockey team let's be honest, they take what they can get

Well first off, Dach plays for Saskatoon in the WHL. Not London in the OHL.

Second, I honestly don't see Anisimov being traded. His bonus has been paid. What's the hold up?

I wouldn't be shocked to see Nylander up right away. But I don't think it's top line or Rockford. I also wouldn't be shocked to see Kubalik on the top line. I think Shaw is a 3rd line player and Caggiula a 4th line player.

Shaw is playing top 6 is my bet and 2nd line IMO makes the most sense.

Nylander is top 6 or bust. The guy is soft, afraid to be hit. He's not going to do well on the bottom 6 for that reason.

Kubalik is another possibility on the top line.

Not in love with Shaw on the second line, but he did play well in the top 6 with the Habs, so I’m open to it. If it means he’s a 50 point guy like he was on pace for last season, sign me up.

I think Sikura will stick too. Had chemistry with Saad and Toews and the numbers to back it up. Only a matter of time before one gets in the back of the net.

Don’t mind trading AA and Perlini for a 2nd, but if we could get Pageau out of Ottawa for them, I wouldn’t mind that either. I don’t know how I like Kampf as a 3C and Pageau could fill that role until Dach is up. Kinda a pipe-dream though

Getting J-G Pageau from Ottawa might be tough since he's a hometown boy and a fan favourite, even if he his on-ice performance has decreased since his injury. It would make sense for the Hawks though, not only because they like reclamation projects, but also because he is capable of being a good 3C if he gets his game back together.
