nah. Rants is in an elite league in his own compared to those guys. None of those pieces would make up for taking away what Rants brings to the top line.

If the Avs could get Rantanen to sign for 8 years a 9.5 million it would have already been done by now.


The Avalanche dont want an overpaid Saad. it would cost at minimum Dach and 1st rd picks. And even then we would need a top 6 fwd since Dach would not stay up with the big club this year on our team.

Seabrook is untradeable I would think - and I don't see many people lining up for Keith either. I think both are going to be Hawks til the end of their contracts (unless they are bought out early). And with Crawford you save $6m - but then what do you do for goaltending? Resign Lehner? If he has a good year, that could be for $6m+ as well. And DeBrincat will likely come in north of $7-8m. I don't think the money is there.
