Next year will be very interesting for Thompson. Can play in WHL, AHL or Europe. It sounds like he might go back to Finland next year, but with Kelowna set to host the Memorial Cup this year, I can't see how that would make sense.

My preference would be for him to stay in the WHL, play in the World Juniors, then hopefully make a run at the Memorial Cup.

This player did not appear in the first round on almost every mock draft I saw, so I was hoping he might fall all the way to the Ducks at #29 or at least the Kings at #22. I think he will be a top 4 guy with Ottawa.
