I think Tanev to the Leafs makes sense, what do you think Dubas would offer to make this trade?

i think that's the issue, VAN would want a Johnsson or a Kapannen but TML wouldn't want to give that up.

Anyone trading for Tanev expects to get 40-65 games from him. Even Benning knows more than to ask for a young player with term.

And that's the problem with trading for Tanev (he's to injury prone) if he wasn't he would have great value. I think Ceci and a pick like a 2nd at the TDL unless he has a great year (he just has to stay healthy, as he's a great player).

A 3rd round pick conditional on Tanev playing 50% of the leafs playoff games in round 1.

No way the Leafs trade away a young forward with a great contract for an injury prone D with one year left on his deal before UFA. That is just poor asset management.

I don't like Ceci, but there is a way better chance he plays over 70 games this year for the Leafs
