It's a shame his career has spiraled so far over the last few years. Rewind to the 2017-18 season, he was looking incredible to start the season. I believe Karlsson was out to start the season, and Boucher was finally forced to play Wideman in the top 4. He was on like a 40 point pace and looked like he was finally setting into the top 4 guy he always looked like he could be. Then he had that horrible leg injury that shut Down his season, and when he came back to start last season he was a shell of himself. Cue the Uber video, and he was gone.

If Wides stays healthy in 17-18, that season probably goes completely differently. I doubt Ottawa ends up with the 4th overall pick, and probably give Colorado that pick.

Solid & inexpensive UFA pick-up to fight for 6/7 D option with Del Zotto.

I honestly think he could play top 4. He's got the talent I believe. Like the first post said though, if he can get back to that pre injury form then it'll be a steal for Anaheim. Ducks low key have pulled off some decent moves this offseason. Buying out Perry must've hurt but I think they're better off for it.
