Buffalo declines easily.

Preds want to move Turris to free up cap space for Josi/Granlund. This does not accomplish that.

Turris is a cap dump and picks do nothing for Buffalo

Botts has moved 2 picks and a prospect for NHLers this offseason, I expect the same for Risto. If a first is thrown in thats cool, but hes definitely looking for a useful NHLer in return

Oh sure. I just don't want to rule out a very good futures package if it's the best deal, and it almost certainly won't be. We are taking salary back if ridtolainen gets moved. I don't think a cap neutral trade is even in the cards.

Good feed back. This is not the sort of trade Botts has made. Every other trade was more or less a slam dunk getting players that would add to the the team, this is too much of a shot in the dark with Turris.

Absolutely not

While you are correct that this trade would not be enough for Ristolainen, it does give Buffalo a solid #2 center who had a bad year due to injury for a defenseman who had a bad year for other reasons.

You are most likely correct. I viewed this as a win for both teams. Buffalo gets a #2 center and the Preds get a RHD to replace Subban both players do not seem to fit into the futures of their respective teams..

Yes he is and Ristolainen is extra for Buffalo. Turris should return to his 2nd C status and that would be a good move for Buffalo

I think Turris is prime to fall off more, thats why i consider him a dump. Hes Okposo without the concussions
