Description
After a previous bashing for giving up the Bruins in the first round due to lack of effort from the top 6 and was called at as a band-wagon, I am back (to many's disgusts). 1. I have watched the Bruins for a long amount of time and never cheered for any other organizations, 2. I knew the top 6 not producing would end up costing us, even though our depth was able to come through, 3. I never gave up hope in the playoffs (other than that one time). Was thinking about just taking a rest from this cancerous web for a year but after scrolling through a few ACGMs, it looked horrible, far worse than those I have made before. I have no idea what the Bruins are doing this year including the signings of Maxime Lagace and Par Lindholm. Even if you needed AHL depth, you've also signed Branden Gaunce too and also with the new addition of speed, goal scoring ability, and agitator in Samuel Asselin who came off an insane year in the QMJHL. Moves were needed and definitely not Backes, as 1. We would have to massive overpay to get rid of that deal and 2. even if not, we would still have a missing hole in the lineup of veteran-ship. My way of doing this is the following:

1. Kevin Miller needs to be moved. As much as I love Miller (one of my favorite players), we need the cap now and with the extension of Kampfer and the up-and-coming Conner Clifton, there is no where he would be playing on that lineup. Even though I think Kampfer should play in the AHL, I believe whenever called up, he should still serve as a player that would be ready in any scenario. I might have over-estimated Miller's value but its not over by much. Plus that deal could go to any team in the Western Conference.

2. Signing Wolff. Wolff has been solid for his 2 years in the Bruin's development camp. Yes, hes slow, 6'4 but loves to throw the body around and has been rated highly by Bruins coaches (especially Jay Leech, Providence head coach). Probably bottom pairing at best but someone who could actually become someone who has played solid and actually has potential in the development camp. On the other hand, Andersson from Sweden looks like Zboril 2.0. He has been extremely good at times but not great on others. IMO, he should spend a year in juniors or back in the Swedish Elite League before coming to the AHL if ready.

Just what I would do if I had control of the Bruins. In 2020~2021, just let Gaunce go if he doesn't play well, resign Ritchie to another one year deal, give Wagner 3*1.5 or 2 (especially he loves playing Boston; he mentioned this when he first signed), Coyle a 5*4~5.25M, Krug to what he wants (should be around 7*6.5M) and the younger players to bridge in order to let Backes's and Krejci's deal run out (resign Krejci but give him like 4*2 with M-NTC or something along the lines of that).

P.S. Carlo has a signing bonus of 1M to add onto that so his cap-hit would be up to 5.5M. This would only kick in 4 years into his contract. (So only would affect cap-hit after the year 2022~2023)

Miller is expected to be cleared by the training camp/start of the season. Moore is the only one who is injured. Backes/Miller will be traded.

Moore when he comes back and at worst, send down one of our young guys ie. Bjork, Kuhlman... Or even waive Ritchie or Kampfer at worst.

Well no, cause then you're 2 mil above the cap. I think you're missing something in your line of thought

yeah well, any other way to get Carlo and McAvoy without trading Backes because that is reality (Sweeney isn't moving Backes, it was confirmed a long time ago)

and this comment is a mess too. Sweeney confirmed it? What on earth are you talking about? Sign McAvoy and Carlo to two year bridge deals. Done.

you absolutely can trade injured players.

You can trade LTIR players but not regular IR players, where miller will probably be this season

quite sure you're wrong bud. And given the construction of this ACGM, I'm going to go with myself and the others here that say he's injured.

God I do hope that doesn't happen. Krug better stay at Boston. Sweeney should do everything to keep him.

I think gardiner getting shunned this offseason and taking less money probably helps boston with krug, if krug ends up costing like less than 7 million they might be able to keep him

no way hes getting over 7M. No way, just no way. Hes great and all that but there is 0% hes getting more than Trouba, who is probably only going to get 7.2M

sure whatever you say. There is no way hes injured now, and even if he is, he will be healthy at the start of next season
