Description
Its crazy because I was thinking about a Krug package to COL before I came on here and was wondering what we could get in return. Then I saw BCarlo25 post about Miller to COL and I had to piggy back his idea. Idk if the first round pick would/should be included. With an extension I think it makes sense but not totally sold on it. The Bruins get a cheaper younger version of Torey in Girard. A guy whose under team control, and they also add a versatile depth player who can play up and down the line up. It would give the bruins the ability to sign Carlo and McAvoy long term but as BCarlo has stated over and over and over again he doesn't have much leverage as hes a group 1 RFA. The only issue I could see with this trade is that COL is losing a good depth/middle 6 winger whose young and could become a real solid player. Maybe the Bruins would have to add a prospect in? i.e. Frederic/Senyshyn. Or take out the 1st round pick and make it a middle round pick? Idk, you guys let me know

@Bcarlo25 I really thought I was onto something. What if BOS sends a 2nd + 3rd?

I guess I just don't really see the point? If they were going to do that, why not just trade Krug for picks and play Vaakainanen? The only reason I see to move Krug is if the Bruins can get McAvoy locked up to an 8 year term at a dollar figure they view as team friendly, and it's the only way to do it.

I just figured because a lot of ppl are big on Krugs point projection it would be sensible to go after a guy like Girard who is a Krug-like type of dman to replace his production on the back end. Maybe a swap of Girard + picks for Krug w/ extension would make more sense? I was just trying to improve the forward depth at the same time here. That also allows the Bruins to look at the McAvoy contract long term. Idk im just trying new things out I guess. Ik how bruins fans value Krug but the rest of the leagues fan bases dont see him the same way imo.
