I like your thinking (particularly Coleman), but there are a few problems:
1) if someone was willing to give a 1st or 2nd for Brodie, Treliving would have pulled the trigger on that LONG ago - no way we'd get that kind of return
2) I like Tuch a lot, but he just signed an extension with VGK, so they're not going to trade him now - especially for two aging vets.

James Neal has an albatross contract, but this is probably the closest thing Ive seen to a deal that gets him out of AB. Still...NJD is gonna need some cap space soon and Neal really messes that up, especially if he's playing on the 4th or in the pressbox, even with the salary retention.

If I'm Anaheim, I'd snatch up Brodie for a couple of seconds. Fills a big hole, and there's a good chance we could extend him IMO.

Agree with @jcambers though. I'm assuming you changed the players, because they aren't aging vets, but VGK like Tuch, signed him long term, and probably aren't moving him for a bit.

Is Kyle Turris worth trading for? Im sure Nashville would accept this deal, but he's got 5 years left at 6 mill per and he'll be 30 at the start of the season. I like the guy, but that's gonna be a bad contract in a couple years

Jersey would probably be open to one to two year cap dumps like Backes. But not term line Neal. They'll need the space

I agree, i really dont think vegas wants to trade Tuch but they need the cap. I could have replaced it with Gus but I wouldnt like him in Calgarys plans

I think NJD trys to play him and get him back to his scoring ways

I don't think Neal is going anywhere unless there's a bit of a bounce back by him towards his normal 20G, 40P self. He isn't a good fit on the Flames who play a rush/transition style offensive game. They need to find a team that plays a cycle game and send him there with salary retention, or add a sweetener and send him to a team at the start of a rebuild. I think he's a Flame next year, but I do think the value on the deal is fair, just not the fit. Other deals that may work would be Neal to LA in a trade centered around Kovalchuk or Carter (if they'd waive to chase a cup with Calgary).

I wouldn't do the Turris deal unless its Neal heading back in the trade. Turris is maybe only marginally better than Ryan based on last season (though Turris was injured last year) and he has five more years at $6M (nearly double Ryan's salary).

Vegas won't move Tuch, especially within the division, unless a top quality RD with team control remaining comes back. Their ask off the Flames would likely be Andersson & Dube and perhaps even an additional mid round pick. Agree the Flames need to find a player like Tuch though.

I think I can live with the 2 x 2nds for TJ, but I really think they should get a cheap NHL ready player back given our three year Gio & Johnny window (those picks likely won't be playing on the Flames within this period). I like the Juulsen + 3rd trade idea to Montreal that's being floated around various ACGM's as he can step into Andersson spot on the third pairing as early as next season when Andersson goes up to Brodie's spot with Gio.
