A lot of people sleep on Benson. Im glad you have him this high. I believe he would be awesome. What impact do you see Liljegren making?

I don't think Benson is as good as most of the other players in the class, but he's put up numbers everywhere and will have access to Mcdavid. If Liljegren makes it, I expect him to be stable and a "minutes eater" while putting up modest point totals.

I feel he gets a nice chemistry with RNH going. Which would help a lot. Im higher on him then most of the people. BTW I like your predictions. They are really good!

I have no reason to believe Hughes will outscore Brännström by 10 points, or that the latter will have a total of 25. Chabot might be in the way of him getting proper usage, but considering the rest of Ottawa's defense Brännström should get some minutes at least. I think Glass and Necas are 50 point players this year, cause they play on good, deep teams. Makar might push 50+ as well with Barrie out of the PP-lineup. Finally, I don't think Hughes outscores Kakko either

Hughes imo is a lot better and will have complete access to the top powerplay with Pettersson and Boeser. Brannstrom is a nice player and will probably be a 40-50 point guy in the future, but I can't see him putting up many points on an awful team with Chabot taking the highly offensive minutes. Glass and Necas are both in similar situations to Robert Thomas last year where they have two good centers ahead of them on the depth chart and won't have access to the high leverage offensive minutes. I could maybe see Glass explode with good line mates, but I'm not sold on Necas. I could totally see Makar score a ton of points and honestly Hughes/Kakko is probably a tossup.

I agree with almost every (pretty much every) point here. I think Kakko outscores Hughes because I fully expect him to be a top line immediately with Panarin and Zibanejad. If nothing else, he gets paired with Chytil and Kreider. So from a line perspective I think he's got the better talent around. I don't think Kyrou touches 30 points. If the plan is to place Thomas in a 2nd line center role this season then Kyrou replaces Thomas on that third line. Plus, I don't think Kyrou has the tenacity that Thomas has to make plays happen.

I think Suzuki probably starts in the AHL and Poehling scores about 25-35 points on the 3rd line.

I think Brännström will be like a 60-70 point guy in the future, I think he will be an elite defenseman or at least first pairing with pp-upside. He was better than Dahlin at the WJC they both played, he's been pretty dominant at every stage of his career so far. Don't you think Robert Thomas will put up more points this year though?

No extra love for Kakko for playing against men and putting up points? Like I feel like he's more of a sure thing in terms of producing this year.

How is Kyrou's development getting along? I thought he'd produce more in the games he played last year

I’m really not sure I see that with Brannstrom, but I’m sure it’s possible if literally everything goes right.

On Kakko, I’m sure he’ll have an easier transition but I think once Hughes hits his stride he’ll be a total force out there. It’s kind of a toss up for who will score more as a rookie.

On Kyrou, I was a bit surprised he didn’t click automatically, but he also had Yeo as his coach and really didn’t get much of a chance to stick. I thought he was awesome in the AHL while playing with a terrible team so I’m banking on him figuring it out.
