NYR urgently needs an elite C, also it seems that TOR will likely do almost anything to sign Marner including Matthews or Nylander trade. Yeah I am not a GM so that's only hypothetical and for fun so don't take it seriously

They would rather trade Marner than trade Matthews or Nylander.. also.. that is not even close to enough for Matthews.

kakko? i honestly don't see the hype with matthews.... but I was spoiled for years with backstrom and ovechkin. after watching them plus malkin and crosby,,,,, then seeing mcdavid Matthews just seems like a stamkos 2.0 more than a generational talent guy ....... but I understand fans bases loving a player imo ovechkin is a top 5 player all time.....but thats my bias

kakko imo should have been the #1 pick

and before leaf fan fans cry ......im not saying matthews is bad im simply saying people tend to glorify his abilities.......hes what 21 3 seasons deep.....hes never had an 80 point season and hes not even a point per game player..... people compare him to mcdavid its funny. mcdavid has done more with a fraction of the talent ...again just my opinion

I have a slight bias for Matthews since I live in Arizona, but I love his complete game. The release on his shot is sick, and he controls the game whenever he's on the ice. Two way force as well, especially for such a young player. He's the do-it-all center that every coach loves to have, noticeable every shift, and seemingly always makes something happen in the offensive zone.
