Go ahead, tell me how terrible of a trade it is and how I did it all wrong. I'm just playing around with different options with different teams. Particularly teams who are looking to possibly unload a winger.

Maybe next offseason, if Dahlen proves he's at least a top-9 forward and we actually need to free up space (we don't really need to but idk). For now though, Saad is a luxury we can afford to keep.

I was just looking at a lot of Chicago fans lineups/proposals, and it seemed like a lot of them were trying to offload Saad. So I figured why not find a way to see if the Sharks could find a way to take him in.

Agree. Can´t see a scenario where Chicago keep Saad next year because of the cap situation. Luxury this year.

More Swedes in Chicago would be nice though squinting with tongue out

I honestly hate seeing that (although I admit it's a lot of bias lol). Saad is still a serviceable top-6 forward, meaning he's pretty damn good. Goes hard to the net, physical, has decent speed and is responsible defensively. He's overpaid, but by all estimates, we'll have at least $20 million is space next offseason which is more than enough to sign our RFAs and a starting goalie. Guys on ELCs will fill the other holes. We could probably afford to keep him next year too.

But unfortunately, he'll probably get traded next summer, sooner if the team struggles out of the gate
