Roslovic is slightly better than Tage Thompson. Idk why people keep wanting to trade Risto for a guy who hasn't even shown he can play center at the NHL level. Plus taking on the contracts of Perrault and Kulikov. Would be a horrid trade for Buffalo.

He was supposed to be the #2C for Winnipeg last year but he didn't get the playing time he wanted. Also, him and Mittelstadt played together for USA, can pull some chemistry in

Honestly if we're gonna take a gamble on a guy who had a down year, I'd rather go for Sprong from ANA. We need goalscorers.

He just hasn't shown the ability to handle the 2C. The whole purpose of trading for a 2C was so we didn't have to put Mitts at 2C. Why would we trade for a young guy in the same position that he's in? A young player not ready to handle the 2C spot. Would rather have a stop gap like Stepan or Henrique than gambling on a younger guy's potential. We've tried that countless times and rarely pans out.

Perreault is actually good and the only way Winnipeg makes a trade for a guy with ristolainens salary is to move salary

That's the position he plays. I know you put him there, but his value is his potential at center. He was pretty meh at winger.

Source on Risto wanting out? Just like ROR wanted out? We shouldn't make desperate moves just because we have too many RHD. Perrault and Kulikov would be the new Sobotka and Berglund. Botts not making that mistake again.

1.) Botterril essentially confirmed it when asked a few weeks ago.
2.) Oreilly is actually good, ristolainen isnt
3.) I bought out kulikov, once job paying attention
4.) Perreault is actually good

1. He confirmed what? He was getting calls on Risto? That's him demanding a trade lol?
2. He's a pp specialist with grit who averages 40 points a year. That has value in the league.
3. Ummm what happened with Berglund? He was essentially bought out.
4. Just like Berglund was a 25-35 point guy who could be our 2C?

The ristolainen situations in oreilly situation is not the same.

I laid out WHY the return would be underwhelming.

Botterill was asked if ristolainen asked for a trade and he couldn't answer. You been living under a rock?

If the return is underwhelming we don't make the trade and keep him. That's why it's similar to the ROR move. Botts already traded a guy for a bad package when we should've kept him. Either we keep Risto or trade him for a top 6 guy. No point in settling for some cap dumps and gambling on young guys.

You have no evidence he demanded a trade other than your armchair psychology takes because Botts didn't answer a question.

No point to continuing this if we disagree on the value and talent of the players involved. We disagree. You are free to be wrong

You haven't given a solid argument for anything you've said. Just that you think that Risto might've requested a trade.
