Description

I've assumed the ancillary parts around the Lucic / Neal trade (i.e. $750,000 retained by EDM + a 4th round pick).

Rangers just signed Trouba and are in Cap Trouble right now. Oilers should offer sheet Buchnevich to $4.0MM immediately to an amount that the Rangers can't match.

Educate me? They'd be able to match it during the summer (albeit they'll be way over the cap), but would be then forced to dump a contract (probably Kreider) before the season begins. Not to mention they still have to resign Brendan Lemiuex and run the risk of an offer sheet on him right now as well...
