I wouldn’t do the Flyers trade at all but I’d definitely move the first round pick to next year’s draft. I can’t imagine the Flyers doing the Oilers a favour by giving them time to get their **** together so they don’t continue being a lottery team.

The Flyers aren't giving up Patrick for that (or even at all). A first round pick in 3 years? That's literally deferring it to hope it's less valuable. So the Flyers get the lesser player and a pick that doesn't help then as an asset for 3 years (then another few as the drafted player develops) that you're hoping is in the 25-32 draft range? Why would we do that? Where's the upside for us?

Nurse trade is actually okay but Philly trade is far off. Patrick’s value is higher than that of Puljujarvi, but not by so much. But this first round pick from 2022 is so far away that no one would really want it at the moment.
