Donskoi? Why? Skinner's contract isn't really bad, he drives play and scores at 5on5 really well

The worst is definitely Hayes then Myers then Varlamov. Thing about Myers is someone was going to pay him that much no matter what even though he is not worth it. Varlamov and Hayes were the real wtf contracts for me.

I'd rather have Skinner for 9 than Duchene for 8

I'd definitely take Duchene, especially at seven years vs eight.

Donskois contract isn't that bad, just a bit overpaid for IMO a third liner.

Agree, Varlamov isn't back breaking yet but definitely too much term. I think Bobrovsky's deal is a lot worse though. Myers got less term and money than people thought and still got too much of both, and Hayes... yeah. All the Jets UFAs with the exception of Lindholm got regrettable deals.

Made a couple edits. Really Hainsey's isn't too bad either, just overpaid (by quite a bit) and not really necessary.

They are super similar players in terms of output except Skinner does more when everything is isolated. He has almost exactly double Duchene's WAR and WAR/60 over the last 3 seasons. I'm lead to believe by basically every advanced metric that Skinner would outperform Duchene by a significant amount in the same situation
