Why are the Jets sending Pionk? Connor should be more then enough imo.

Isles are giving up their #1 RHD, so getting an NHL D back is important. Plus Jets have the numbers without Pionk. With Chevy's good drafting record the 3rd is valuable

Mayfield, Boychuck and Dobson and Wilde in the near future, the Islanders wouldn't need Pionk.
A two time 22 year old 30 goal scorer should be enough for Pulock.
With all the assets blown in the last two seasons the Jets can't afford to give anymore away.

This is fair value, I just don’t know if it makes sense for the islanders to trade their #1D. I think it would make more sense to trade Wilde, mayfield, and dal colle for Connor and a 3rd. You get a 2nd pairing D in mayfield who makes 1.45 AAV and Wilde will be ready by next year and his ceiling is just as high as Dobson.

Value is definitely fair, but Pulock isn’t gonna be moved. Leddy can be had with additional assets in a trade for Connor, Laine or Ehlers though. And if the Isles do move Pulock, the only person I’d move him for right now is Marner.
