Not bad, but I don't know if Brassard wants a 2year at this point in his career.
Might be better aiming a little higher (4.25m / 1y) or giving him long term for half the cost.

Rumors saying Brassard wants 4M on 4 years. Not a single team will gave him a contract like that. But yes, could be a year at 4.5M or 2-3 years around 3M

Agree. It's his last chance to cash in, but I don't see any real buyers left at this point.
Drop McQuaid and try Brassard for a year @ 4.5 and I think it would work.

They could also look @ Pominville for a cheap 3rd liner who could contribute in their system (2-2.5MM?).

Johns won’t be on LTIR. He’s expected to be ready by the start of the season. He’s been cleared by all of his doctors and has been a full participant in some on-ice programs this offseason.

Dallas also doesn’t have the cap for Brassard or McQuaid. They won’t be able to move Hanzal to LTIR until the league year begins (usually 3 or 4 days prior to the start of the regular season). Dallas will have to account for his full $4.75M contract for the rest of the offseason, likely meaning the are done adding players.

Gurianov will also be an NHL player this year. He has nothing left to prove at the AHL level.

Why wouldn’t you put Hintz as the 2C after how good he was in the playoffs?
