Chevy thinks Pionk is good. Now I know why he traded Trouba for him and a first.
That contract isn’t awful only because it is a bridge deal, and Pionk could turn everything around.
But don’t let his offensive numbers fool you. He did all that at the beginning of the season and slowed down a lot as the season progressed. He was benched repeatedly by Coach Quinn. And his defensive play was godawful, just look at advanced stats.
I’m not accusing you of saying Pionk is good, just simply stating this for the Winnipeg fan’s to hear about Pionk.

Playing with a solid LD in Morrisey could be a difference maker for him. He always played with Marc Staal or a struggling Brady Skjei so he wasn’t given the best chance to thrive. Just don’t get your hope up too high for Pionk.

I like this defense and hope they keep it as is.

Niku and Poolman both have two full seasons of professional hockey experience and aren't 18 year old raw rookies, they'll be fine.

Also hope they keep Kulikov, really don't want to lose another player like Armia, man that sucked and Kulikov is alright, not as bad as many make him out to be.
