He'd be a nice addition but I doubt the Habs want to part with Danault and if they did they'd probably want something more then Perreault and a 2nd.

MTL don't need Perreault, Danault is too valuable at this point and younger. A swap from 5th for a 2nd round dont cut it

Whats with all these Danault trades?? Habs are not shopping their current top centerman. If they do, expect someone like Morrissey to be coming back. Not Perreault. Otherwise no thanks.

Danault is your top center??? Ok, I thought Domi was with the young Fin as the up and coming 2C...Fair enough

Danault is in his prime (26) with an AMAZING contrat (3m) and played last year against EVERY team top line and keep a +17. He also put 53 pts in 81 games with no PP time. So I understand he is maybe not a true #1 center but he has been the #1 center for the Habs. If KK is ready for 2nd line minutes, Domi will go LW.

Emphasis on the "current". Danault takes on the big assignments, takes the important draws, plays on the teams true 1st line. Domi is the more offensive dynamo but Danault is like the Bergeron lite for Boston. Krejci may score more than he does on any given season but no one consider Berg to be the 2nd line center as a result. Kotkaniemi is still young and improving, not nealy the best center.....(YET)

So the Habs shutdown center that gets the tough assignments gets 50+ points with only 4 on the PP, the Jets shutdown center can't seem to manage to break the 30 point mark, Danault only makes $200K more then Lowry, can you see now where the problem is Jets fans??

True...but Danault also got only 25 points two years ago...The year he re-signed....Will Lowry get 50 points, I doubt it but...

If Danault continues this, he will get paid big bucks in 2 years.

I think its important to distinguish that Danault is a shutdown center the same way Bergeron is. Bergeron isn't just deployed to shutdown the opposition and that's it. He's a two way center. Meaning he creates offense as well as he defends. Lowry is a solid 3rd line center but Danault has taken the next step into being a distinguished top 6 forward at the same time as being a player that can shutdown the opposition.

That's the asking price for player like Danault from the Habs. If you don't want to pay it, that's fine but Habs don't have to accept Perreault neither.

"Best defenseman on the team" is kind of an arbitrary thing to say. Where is he rated in the top 50 dmen in the league? My opinion not even in the top 30. Just being the best dman in any team isn't enough. Damon Severson was NJ's best dman last year too..... I wouldn't trade Danault for him....

You have obviously not had much chance to watch Josh Morrisey play. He will be ranked top 20 by end of 19-20. He’s better than Trouba.

I have actually. He's a great defenseman! I would still take at least 20 other dmen over him any day of the week. Regardless this is besides the point. That's the asking price for Danault. Either accept it or don't. Habs do not have to trade Danault at all just like WPG doesn't have to trade Morrissey.

Danault finished 7th in Selke votes this year and is only getting better too. Not a true #1 line center like Bergeron but a very solid 2nd line guy like a Bergeron-Lite.

Wut... I wasn't comparing both players, I was exaggerating........ the point was that would be the cost for the Habs. Take it or leave it. No one is forcing you to accept and no is forcing the Habs to accept less than what they feel is fair value.

This isn't rocket science guys.

No, WPG needs to add Laine on top of Morrissey. Plus a 1st rounder.

I feel there's no point in talking to you like a normal person so i'll just troll you.
