Don't think either team can do this. Doubt Marner signs for less than 10 mil, and i don't think Nurse is getting traded unless Jones can play in the Top 4

No. First, Nurse has only ever played LHD. Second, the Oilers can afford to sign him to the 7mil longterm contract he will get. Third, there is no immediate LHD replacement on the Oilers (Sekera gone and was done anyway, Broberg is 2-3 yrs away from the level of play, Jones and Samorukov may never be anywhere near as good and are 1-2 seasons away). Fourth, the two Dmen in this trade would not make the Oilers top 7 D even with Nurse gone (Jones, Perssona and Bouchard would rank ahead of both).

The only trade I would think of entertaining would revolve around Dermott and Kapanen and a 2nd, but because Dermott is out longterm with the shoulder injury the Oil would never do that right now.

Hard Pass from the Oil. We've got Holland now, not Chiarelli thank you very much.
