What old guy this year

Description
Pominville? Thronton? Justin Williams? I like the idea of taking an older player to play that 4th line, then when de Haan comes back, put him on waivers (if he doesn't get claimed him and Versteeg can coach the youngins), and bring up Kubalik or Sikura

No need for an old guy, you guys have more than enough forwards that deserve to be regulars

No older player will sign without a guarantee of not being sent down

There's A LOT of old players sitting without contracts, Vanek is another. There's a couple who just enjoy the game. They also know they'd have a good chance to come back for playoffs if they're headed in the right direction or be picked up by a playoff caliber team.

He just isn't quite ready, I'd rather see him or Kubalik come up in a couple months, not be forced into it without fully learning the scheme. Let them play in Rockford and learn really well

Basically everyone over the age of 27 has been to at least one Conference Final in their career. You don't need to add more veteran presence.

This is more following Bowman's history of signing guys WAY past their prime, basically give a guy like Kubalik and Nylander a few extra months. Although I wouldn't be surprised to see Sikura on this roster day 1, he's flashed so much potential, once he hits the back of the net once, he could light it up for double digit goals, maybe even hit 50+ points playing with Toews and Kane

In that case, it's time to see what Johnny Oduya can do o the Wing.

I think winger is a much more reasonable spot to see a veteran added, there isn't a clear winner for the 4th line, just a lot of guys who want to score goals, or Cagguila whose stats on the first line make it difficult to move him
