They would probably want a defenseman coming back but that's an overpay for Hughes imo. League MVP and a great prospect.

One year of a league MVP, dumping a bad contract, and a quality (but lesser) prospect for Quinn Hughes. Not an overpay IMO if New Jersey thinks Hall won't re-sign.

Rental MVP but yes. If they were determined to get him could you see it? What if you switch McLeod for a 2nd?

I thought about that but Van doesn’t have cap room rn. I did it this way so the cap hit stays neutral

Love Hall and Mcleod as players, but we don't need more centers, neither would a player in his prime as a rental, who probably won't resign with us, be as useful to us as a young dman.

A trade for Quinn in my idea would shape around Ty Smith and Jesper Bratt coming the other way,

Thoughts on Quinn + Eriksson+ rights to Goldobin for Smith + Bratt + 1st

I made a team thats 3 2020 firsts and butcher - devils take backes and a first, winnipegs first for sami vat + retained and resigned, flip both + devils first, butcher

With q hughes I gotta believe hall stays
