I've seen Aho come up in a few threads regarding Marner and I thought it might help to see their numbers in line with ours.
Aho put up 83 points along with Teravainen's 76, on a team that didn't have another top six forward before their trade for Nino. The Canes actually tried to convince Marleau to play for them after acquiring him, that's how desperate they are.
Without the rabid fanbase, players don't get such inflated salaries.
I left Horton in there to show just how great Teravainen's contract really is.
And we had Kadri last year.

Carolina went to the conference finals? And our guy wants 11.634M?

Players usually except less money from a small market team knowing the owner can't afford stupid money, meanwhile the Leafs use their stupid money to wipe their own arse and the Leafs players and agents know this and feel no guilt when the ask for the stupid money.
