The 1st is nice, but the rest is kind of "meh". MDC is a bust. There is no upside there. Mayfield is "ok", but I don't think he brings enough value to warrant us giving up our captain and one of the best Ducks of all-time.

Personally, I don't see Getzlaf moving. His value is still very high to us. We need him to play 1st line minutes so that the young kids we have aren't thrust into positions they aren't ready to play. We also need him to provide a lot of leadership and guidance (very noticeable last season with Terry). My view is that, even if a team was to come in and blow our socks off with an offer, Getzlaf would exercise his NMC and stop us from moving him. He's been in Cali for over a decade. His wife is from Cali. His kids have grown up in Cali. I just don't see him wanting to move at this point.

Yeah even if the value is fair it would be awfully hard for the Ducks to part ways with Getzlaf.

MDC isn't a bust, he's more of a disappointment. He played well last year and I can see him being a 3LW for a long time with 15-15-30 seasons. Definitely not what he was supposed to be, but he looks like an NHL player.

The rest I agree with. Getzlaf is too important to you guys to move and this isn't a good enough offer to make you think about it.
