Description
After losing out on drafting in the top four of this years draft, trading away all their core players, and their front office acting like they’re on a reality TV show, the Sens have a lot of work to do before becoming contenders. Or do they?

After the trade deadline, Sens acquired some low end talent that seemed to mesh well with the team and the systems.

Who do you think will lead the Sens in points? Goals?

Can Duclair become the next “go to guy” for the sens?

What needs to be done regarding their goaltending situation?

What do you think of the Sens drafting habits and trends over the last four years?

What position do the Sens need to improve upon most?

Why do you think the organization is such a mess?

If you were an NHL player, would you be willing to play for an organization like the sens?

"Why do you think the organization is such a mess?"

Does this question really need to be asked? I think everyone knows why the org is a mess, they have a terrible owner.

They have a good prospect pool and they need to continue adding to that pool Ottawa never tends to go for the obvious pick in the draft ( skipped on Lavoie and Kyaliev for pinto ) even in the past they could have picked Zadina they tend to go for guys with talent but who are also large they opt away from the small and skilled.

Leads sens in PTS: Chabot
Lead sens in goals: White
Duclair will get 42pts my prediction
Trade Anderson even if its retained sometime during the season and let Hogberg back up Nilsson.
I like the picks but i wish they took riskier picks sometimes like Tolvanen or Jokiharju instead of Bowers, Wilde or Veleno instead of JBD and Kaliyev instead of Pinto.
Biggest needs are a top line centre, one more top 4 RHD prospect and a couple of top wingers (One Raymond/Laine sniper style) and one 2 way all around (Holtz/Tkachuk style).
Its such a mess cuz theyre always lying to the public, theyve lost the support/trust of half the fans and the owner doesnt spend.

As an Avs fan I want to thank the Sens for helping so much in our turn around.

That being said, the Sens still have alot of good young players.

I would go full youth movement if I were them. Try to trade Ryan if possible while he still has value. Move Anderson as well.

I'd go with the following forward lines;

Tkachuk-Batherson-Duclair (Batherson was a steal in the draft and I think will break out this year)
Boedker-Tierney-Conner Brown
White-Logan Brown-Abramov
Anisimov-Paugeau-Veronneau

On Defense;
Chabot-Zaitsev
Brannstrom-Hainsey (Gotta give the young guy a vet partner)
Borowiecki-Demelo

Goalies;
Nillson
Hogberg

Batherson will lead the team in points, Tkachuk will lead in goals.

Predicting Batherson will lead the team is a very bold prediction considering he only has 20 games of NHL experience collecting nine points during it. I agree that he was a steal but I feel he needs some more time to develop or at least be in a good atmosphere which we all know is not the Sens.

Of course my prediction was based on them playing him on a line with Tkachuk and Duclair. If he gets stuck playing 3rd line minutes then Tkachuk will lead the team in points. I predict Batherson will be the 1C within the next couple of years though.
