Take out Bowers, put in Jost and you’d probably need to add a conditional pick.

I agree. What about Girard, Kaut, and a 1st? Not saying I want this to happen. But I think that's what it'll take to get Laine. I would think the Jets would look at one of the Avs top D prospects as the main piece coming back.

Add Timmins to this pacakge and now its very interesting. Colorado keep Makar Byram Newhook & getting a top sniper. Girard might be too small, Morrissey isnt big either, they might decline

Bowers and Timmins are "A prospect" imo. Maybe you consider Kaut ahead of Bowers in the moment, that's ok. I don't think about Girard because WPG will want a righty not a lefty. I would make the deal anyway with Kaut instead of Bowers. Kaut + Timmins + 2 firsts for Laine and his funky thinny beard. I think it's a good return, considering that Laine just had a tougher year and wants $ 10M / year. COL can put him under contract at this price, while having the same deal for his Finnish buddy Rantanen. And it does not put them in financial trouble if they get rid of a few bodies like Calvert, Nieto, Connauton or Barberio.

The thing is Laine isnt worth 10 million a year..

Timmins doesnt have a lot of trade value.. Potential is only so much.. He hasnt played hockey in over a year. Colorado first rd picks "SHOULD BE" late firsts so those dont move the needle. COlorado is not trade Byram or Makar so we really dont make good trading partners for the Jets.
