MTL decline politely. Fair offer, but Drouin could be a 70+ points winger, didn't show constancy yet, but he's only 24 yo & a 3rd OA pick

I agree with you I think it was tilted towards Montreal a little. I changed it to even it out. The guy above undervalues butcher

How's that ? We already have Mete ( small dman ) & Romanov will be our top pairing LHD. McLeod is a center, Danault Domi Kotkaniemi Poehling Suzuki are all Centers. Even if you move Domi-Suzuki to the wings, no room for McLeod. Drouin is MTL 2nd best winger after Gallagher

I dont undervalue Butcher, we wont trade a top 6 winger for a top3-4 LHD small size when we already have Mete

I would move Vatanen+ for a middle 6 winger and keep Butcher personally. Then again I would probably trade subban for a 5th lol.

"Drouin could be a 70 point winger" has been said for past 5 years. At some point, it just needs to be accepted that he is a 50-point guy.

This is heavily in MTL's favor. Take out McLeod and the NJD 5th pick and close to fair.

I think its a bit myopic to declare a 19 year old russian defensmen to be a top pairing D before he plays a game in the NHL. Hes certainly a promising prospect but lets not pretend hes a sure-fire plug and play guy this year.
