Yes but who can trust Pedneau???
Winny would be stupid... might more targeting Elhers for Domi would be more fair.

If he wants $10 million then Winipeg can keep him. Rather have Domi at $8 million then Laine at that cap hit.

Elhers is worst version of Jonathan Drouin and Habs don’t want that

No way you're getting a sign and trade Patrick Laine 8 x 10 for just Max Domi need to add other pieces as well. Chevy isn't that dumb to accept this offer.

well Domi is a RFA as well - and had 30 pts more than Laine. Like Laine might have talent... but he is "lazy" on the ice and inconsistent.

Where Lainer is a sniper - Domi is a playmaker (who occasionally snipes it.) who is responsible defensively as a center and has a lot of grit.

So I don't think MTL would make that trade. Domi is the player MB loves - great attitude - winning mentality -grit.

EDIT:

I'm not saying Domi > Laine - I'm just saying that Domi is a better fit in MTL than Laine. We can't afford to have both Drouin and Laine slump at the same time ahahha

Laine is an incredible player - just don't dismiss the Domi trade right away

True, But Chevy hands were tied with Trouba, As he would only agree to go to the Rangers. Because his fiance is getting her residency there in a couple years. He has a lot more flexibility with Laine though.

Agreed if i'm MB i'm not dealing Domi in any deal for Patrick Laine, Domi is exactly what the Habs need not deal in any way for Laine.

I am not saying we should... but you won't get Laine for Domi.... Domi value is more fair with Elhers

I don't know - I think we saw the real Domi this year. The progression he should have had after his first NHL season where he got 53 pts. He was not happy in ARI and it showed on the ice.
The kid is a gladiator and he needs the crowd to fuel him.

- I think we can expect another great season from him.

I agree & don't want to trade him... I am just evaluating is value as @Tiekv think domi for Laine one on one...
