Description

Re-sign Marner. Trade Nylander. Avoid dealing with cap crunch every year.

Leafs get to see what they have on the blueline for one year and then have $19M next year to keep some of Muzzin, Nurse and Barrie. Ceci is not going to improve and should be ditched next offseason.

Contenders deal with limited cap dollars year in and year out. It can't be avoided.

Nurse is going to get roughly the same as Nylander, maybe a bit less. So how does this avoid cap hell ? Dubas then has to negotiate with another RFA.

How does this avoid future cap hell? 6 out of 7 of your d men need new contracts after this season. That will be pricey.

You dont overpay Marner by 2Mil AAV for fun... then trade Nylanedr for Nurse and a bag of pucks otherwise and give out a 2nd round pick, because why not and someone improve your team...

Dont sign the stupid mitch AAV in the first place, and keep elite winger Nylander. Thats a better idea

Although I am sure, no, positive this LTIR issue will be addressed in the next CBA, until that happens, I expect the Leafs to continue using it to their advantage. Watch out Ryan Kessler - you're next!
